Design Firm has 2 out of Top 50 Best Websites of the Year.

Leading international design publication STEP has honoured local design firm Manic with two inclusions in the prestigious Top 50 Best Websites of 2007 — the most inclusions of any design firm outside of the United States.

“It’s an honor to have just one of our projects recognised,” says Jimmy Tan, director and co-founder of the boutique design agency, “We were thrilled to learn that two of our projects were accepted into the list.”

Other firms featured in the list include international design heavyweights like 2Advanced Studios, Hello Design, Juxt Interactive, Addison and Lippincott Mercer.

Manic’s winning projects include the website for prominent architecture firm DP Architects and a website for the Singapore Film Commission. Although both projects have previously received recognition for design excellence both in local as well as international competitions, Tan says it is particularly gratifying to be recognized in a competition that was judged by internationally renowned designers like Hillman Curtis and Kelly Goto.

The annual STEP Magazine Top 50 Best of Web selection showcases the most innovative and important website design from all over the world for the year. Websites for brands like Toyota, Coca-Cola, the Museum of Modern Art and Adobe are included in this year’s list of winning sites, which are featured in the September / October issue of the magazine.
