Ladies Beauty Parlour

Perfectly Punctuated Ladies Beauty Parlour

Do you know a May E?

The last day of the holidays, Jan 02, saw us stopping by at Ban Guan Park after dropping off a cupcake order at Greenleaf View. It was a fairly quiet day, save for a few kids running around. Ren seemed to be in a good enough mood and even ran with them for a bit without biting anyone.

I got to do what I’ve been meaning to do for a long time — snap photos of these ridiculously dated signs. These ones of May E Beauty Parlour & Hair Dressing Salon seem especially charming, taking us back to a time when air-conditioning was something to shout about.

My friend tells me that this salon opens for business at 6.30am! One of these days when I get a chance to go to bed at 7.00pm, I will try to verify his story.

the hair salon was once featured in her world for ‘shiok’ head massage, on the house.

Have you married?

There used to be a salon just like that in Greenwood Ave - but I think it’s been replaced by all those snazzy restaurants…

Wow, enuwy, I really like your photos. Too bad I took so long to say something. I was kinda shell-shocked by the “Have you married?” comment.

I still can’t decide if there’s anything wrong with it. At first, I thought it was the wrong auxillary…

Well, if anyone can pinpoint the mistake in the sentence — and such a short one too, please post a comment and put me out of my misery. Thanks.

i dont think there’s anything grammatically wrong, but construction wise it’s awkward. We’re more used to “Are you married” vs “Have you married” or “I am married” vs “I have married”.
