MAAD Pics

Pics from a very encouraging 1st day at MAAD:

Karen’s journals at the start of the day …

Her handmade lampshades … (the one on the right was bought)

Beautifully crafted cosmetic pouches …

And oh yes, we met Sagmeister (!!) who said Karen’s journals were “very nice”. Of course he got one for free!

See the original groupie cap!

We’ll be there again next Sun. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet Paula Scher next!

We couldn’t believe it!

Dawn, you’re getting a free notebook!

Posted by: Karen at July 2, 2006 11:13 PM

thank you! : )

Posted by: dawn at July 2, 2006 11:17 PM

Your notebook more style than my cap.

Posted by: Randy at July 2, 2006 11:22 PM

Yeah, did you see the journal he was holding in the pix?

OK, free journals offered to all ex-interns. Just ask.

Guys can ask for the one that Sagmeister has. :)

Or just come down one of these Sundays.

Whao~~so nice. I missed the 1st MAAD because too tired to drag myself out from the house after out for 24hrs on saturday ;)

Are you going to be there for the following sunday? Hope to see you guys soon.

Posted by: kahong at July 3, 2006 12:02 AM

Kahong, yes we’ll be there for the next three Sundays at least.

Posted by: Karen at July 3, 2006 10:36 AM

How was the sales Karen? Hope you had a great time and enjoyed yourself there. I couldn’t make it cos I was so dead tired after being one of the bridemaid for my friend’s wedding. Been running around the whole day and was so “stoned” at her dinner at Sentosa. I love your notebooks esp. the bohemian flower prints one. Do you have any more for the coming sunday?

Posted by: Beverly at July 3, 2006 03:25 PM

Yup. We all had a great time. Especially after Sagmeister showed up!

And I will have more notebooks this coming Sunday. But most likely not the same designs.

Hiya! Would love to visit MAAD but, at the risk of sounding really suaku, how does one get there?

Posted by: Charlene at July 4, 2006 01:13 AM

hi karen, i browsed your items at MAAD last Sunday and swooned over your stuff! didn’t buy anything because I had all but 10 bucks to spare but I will go visit again next week! :)

Posted by: karene at July 4, 2006 10:17 AM

Charlene, I think the nearest MRT station is Tanjong Pagar, and then it’s a short walk from there.

Hi Karene, if you buy a lamp, we’ll deliver! And then you can pay us upon delivery. :)
