If you think museums are boring, we’re sorry

International Museum Day ‘06 is happening from now to 28 May with over 60 events at some 30 museums all around Singapore.
It’s your chance to check out some fascinating activities free or at greatly discounted rates, and to enjoy free shuttle buses that will pick you up from MRT stations and drop you right at the museums!

Posted by: dawn at May 19, 2006 01:39 PMI didn’t even know we had 30 museums in Singapore.
Posted by: Randy at May 19, 2006 02:39 PMActually, there are about 37 in the Museum Roundtable, but only about 30 or so are taking part in the IMD’06.
I think the noteworthy stuff are Fiction@Love, Museum of Shanghai Toys (there’s a toy-making workshop), and red dot design museum.
I’m also interested in the talk on Black & White Bungalows, Vanishing Trades at Chinatown Heritage Centre.

Posted by: Randy at May 19, 2006 08:38 PMWe didn’t do the site but we hijacked some elements of the existing site and added our own like flash/jpg banners and the event’s information. Massive collaboration effort man everyone worked hard including the interns dawn and jinghui who also helped heaps with vectorising the some of the museums and stuff.
Posted by: Ben at May 20, 2006 11:10 PMvectoring those stuffs was an addictive experience! :D see ya guys tomorrow! :) I’m gonna vandalise the Manic board again! hahaha
