Ads Ads Ads
Ads Of The World and Ad Monster are two new sites that provide an almost daily dosage of the best ads from around the world.
Woonie also spotted this excellent ad from Ikea on the Straits Times. (via tomorrow.sg)

This comment annoys me on so many levels that I have decided NOT to delete it.
The logo is hideous, the site is ugly and the products, well, I wouldn’t touch them with a 10-foot pole.
From now on, people who post links to any shopping site, their own or otherwise (read: whether they admit it or not), will get my honest opinion of them, their site, their products, and whatever else I can think of.
No sugarcoating either. Obviously that hasn’t worked very well. And simply deleting the comments is tedious and a lot less fun and cathartic than ranting my head off.
The whole point of this blog was for people to share good links. No one was doing that. Everyone was just very rudely posting links to their own ugly site all over the place.
My blog isn’t free ad space for you. You can either start your own blog or buy adspace from google, so that they appear in “ads by google.”

I got some goodies for you guys & gals from alt.type. It’s a poster — a map of their best sellers.
Scored them while making a Baked Ideas delivery to Eujin et al. (It’s not from me to them. It’s a gift from someone else.) Also bought the new book, Made with Fontfont. It’s not even available on Amazon yet!
Heh, I feel so privileged.
