Suppakorn’s Mom’s Meaty Dip
I made it yesterday and it was great! But would you believe it, I don’t have the name of this dish. Will post later. The recipe is very un-numeric and it goes something like this:
Garlic
Small red onions
Dried chilli, enough for a kick
Tamarind (assam) water
1 punnet cherry tomatoes, diced
Minced Meat
Fish Sauce
Sugar
Pound first three ingredients in pestle and mortar till you get a reddish paste. Fry it with oil till it’s fragrant. Add the tomatoes, and fry till everything is mushy. Add minced meat, fish sauce and sugar to taste.
Serve with chilled China cabbage and some kind of mildly flavoured ginger (to dip).
