Minion Ornament

It’s Illustration Friday and Loobylu’s Month of the Accessorised Elephant. But since I can neither draw nor sew toys, I’ve made a cushion cover instead. Nice, red and ornamental.
I got the zipper sewing instructions from Taunton and craftster, and used the centered zipper. Except my zipper is sewn inside out. Oh well, that makes it nice and hidden anyway.
I picked up sewing a few months ago and kept at it because I like the feeling of doing something I know absolutely nothing about. It makes me feel so adventurous!
The biggest difference between drafting sewing patterns and graphic design, is that everything is life-sized. Everything is larger than the A4 page and you kinda start to wonder…. is that really the size of my butt?
And then there are all these tools that I have never seen before, such as this cute little iron, that’s the size of a stamp.

Not that I think you would find this useful, but here’s how to make continuous bias tape.
Posted by: Karen at December 10, 2004 12:50 PMMore softies. Crochet critters by Camillia Engman are especially cute. And her dog’s a very professional model.
Posted by: Karen at January 25, 2005 09:32 AMCamillia Engman’s just lovely.
MollyChicken

Oh and regarding silkscreening, you might find this
useful.
Oh dear, took me all this time to realise that it was you! OK, sure I can teach you how to make the camo clutch.
