Distressed Scripts

The whole bunch from Old Fonts (US$39 each) via typebase. Especially Emily Austin. Then there’s Nars (four styles for US$30), Article, Solace (US$22), and Baker Script (US$29) which I still love. Also from T26, Lassigue D’mato (US$29), used for the Red Shoes ballet performance when it played in Singapore last year. And finally Rosemary Copperplate (US$89), while not exactly distressed, certainly nicely dishevelled.
Incidentally, Mike Yanega has a useful Script Font Identification Guide, not to be confused with his Script Reference List which lists something like 2,000 commercial and freeware scripts.

Posted by: Karen at December 17, 2003 11:04 PMKaren - What is the font used for the Lady Chatterley’s Lover quote in this entry? It’s just what I’ve been looking for for a small project, yet it doesn’t seem to match any of the fonts you listed (the “O” looks different to me.
Posted by: PaulG at February 13, 2004 07:06 AMThe Lady C quote was set in Baker Script from T-26. But they recently revamped their site, so the links no longer work. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
