Chek Jawa and Other Coral Links

Whenever we see a place that’s beautiful, we’ll always say, “Doesn’t look like Singapore.” Well, I hope these links will change your mind.
Loh Tse Lynn, a research assistant at the Tropical Marine Science Institute, shares her links with us. Apparently marine biologists are so rare here that Tse-Lynn has been featured in Her World last month, as one of Singapore’s young women to watch.
If you visit only one link of this whole lot, this one on Chek Jawa will have to be it. Spectacular photographs of the mangrove, colourful anemones, and lots more. You’ll have to go at least once.
Then there’s a more general site on nature in Singapore. And an online guidebook on tropical fishes by Jeffrey Low, who currently heads the conservation sub-group of the Youth Expedition Project (YEP) Alumni, started by the Singapore International Foundation (SIF).

Posted by: Tse-Lynn at October 11, 2003 01:22 PMHi Tse Lynn, can you post some information about the Pedal Ubin programme? As well as information about the YEP Alumni? Things like what they do, who to contact for information, etc. I know a few people who are interested, but their website doesn’t say much.
